Taking Up Space
​Naimah will guide you through ways of creatively utilizing your 3-dimensional space. This workshop is for the solo or aspiring solo artists who wants to enhance their presence and leave their mark on the stage. The goal here is to not only capture your audience, but have them absorb the performance. We will be using bold phrases to make bold statements, combinations, and maybe even a mini choreography to effectively utilize the space with fiery energy. All you need to bring with you is some vivacious charisma!
​"Chiaroscuro": Darkly Dramatic Veil Technique and Choreography
​This workshop transports you to a dimly lit bat cave where you are dancing through long, vast corridors to obscure tunes in the distance. We will blend conventional and unconventional veil tricks to create shadowy, mystical magick. Chiffon veils are ideal for this due to the amount of manipulation. No hiding in the shadows.If you do not have a veil Naimah will do her best to provide one for you.
